Walking for 30 minutes a day or more on most days of the week is a great way to improve or maintain your overall health.
If you can’t manage 30 minutes a day, remember ‘even a little is good, but more is better’.
Walking with others from your household can turn exercise into a healthy and enjoyable occasion.
See your doctor for a medical check-up before embarking on any new fitness program, particularly if you are aged over 40 years, or haven’t exercised in a long time.
This video shows a 2 km walk-about through the south side of Flemingdon Park, starting at the TTC Bus Stop at Gateway and Don Mills, passing through the Flemingdon Park Shopping Centre, then strolling around Grenoble Drive to the TTC Bus Stop at Gateway and Grenoble. At the time of this recording Ontario was in a lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so socially distanced outdoor activities with up to 5 people, curbside pickup and ordering take-out were permitted. It was 11°C outside on a partly cloudy day in Flemingdon Park. (08:40 AM EDT on May 29, 2021)
