Activating a Thousand State-of-the-Art Mobile #SecurityCameras
by the YCC 141 Security Committee
Video surveillance footage is one of the tools by which security companies are able to perform their job duties effectively. It is part of an arsenal that includes foot patrols, ticketing, ID readers, communication devices and log books among others.
With the increase in crime— especially with intermittent criminal creativity; condo corporations must always be on the lookout for innovative approaches to the protection of their home community and company assets.
Cameras provide recorded video footage to both the security officers on site as well as to law enforcement. Together with log books, eye-witness testimonies, as well as physical evidence, charges can be pressed, legal cases made, and justice served.
However, imagine a camera that is mobile, possessing range capabilities beyond a stationary camera, capable of interpreting real-time actions and sounds, making intuitive decisions such as vocalizing warnings, posing questions and queries, even making direct calls to its security officers and the police—all while adapting to changing seasonal weather conditions, overcoming every type of terrain, and keeping a shelf-life that will be decades long.
Many would say that this is the future of #HomeSecurity. Others may argue that such equipment would be far too expensive and, thus, quite impractical.
How secure would you feel knowing that your very own corporation has at least a thousand of these cameras on site already? They require no installation and are able to maintain themselves.
The real irony is that such cameras are as old as time. What’s even better is that they are absolutely #FREE. No actual purchase is necessary. Really? You may ask. Yes, because, you are the #camera! Welcome to the corporation’s four year old #NeighbourhoodWatchProgram (#NWP)! If you see (or hear) anything that is suspicious, please call the security desk. This is all that our Neighbourhood Watch Program requires. Do not approach or engage anybody. Your own safety comes first. Observe from a safe distance and remember folks: Failure to call or report an incident taking place on our premises is no better than paying for a camera that does not work.
Sincerely,
