Management Office is in receipt of a number complaints about the smell of marijuana and cigarettes in the hallway. Smoke travels out of the crevices of doors, electrical outlets, windows, etc., into the corridors and into neighbouring units.
Do not smoke in your unit without first turning on all fans and ventilation systems within your suite to prevent the smoke from travelling beyond the confines.
We understand that residents have the right to smoke within their own units; however, you need to remember that you live in a multi-residential building environment and smoke travels. The rights of non-smokers, especially children, must not be infringed.
REMINDER smoking anywhere in the common elements: i.e. hallways, stairwells and underground garage of the condominium is strictly prohibited by the City of Toronto By-laws as well as the Condominiums Rules & Regulations. Smoking is a fire hazard and is fineable by law. If caught smoking charges will be applied to your unit.
Sincerely,
