Indoor Gatherings
Indoor organized public events and social gatherings are not permitted, except with members of the same household and one person who lives alone.
If you live alone, you should have close contact with only one other household.
Outdoor Gatherings
Outdoor organized public events and social gatherings of five people or fewer are permitted. The people can be members of other households.
Schools
Subject to very limited exceptions, schools, within the meaning of the Education Act, remain closed. There is also a section 22 Order, issued May 6, 2021, in effect in the City of Toronto that sets out further restrictions with respect to educational settings for school-aged children. Be sure to review the s. 22 Order.
Travel to Other Regions
You should not travel outside your region or the province unless absolutely necessary.
Religious services: Weddings & Funerals
Indoor and outdoor gatherings for the purposes of a wedding, funeral or a religious service, rite or ceremony are limited to 10 people or fewer.
Indoor social gatherings associated with or following any wedding, funeral, or religious service, rite, or ceremony are not permitted. Outdoor social gatherings are limited to five people or fewer.
Retail
Most retail stores are closed for in-store shopping. Pickup and delivery of pre-ordered goods is permitted by prior appointment only between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. All sales must be made in a way that doesn’t require the customer to enter the store. Delivery is permitted between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m.
In store shopping is permitted subject to a limit of 25% capacity in:
Pharmacies
Stores that primarily sell groceries (supermarkets, convenience stores, indoor farmers’ markets)
Discount and big box stores which are only permitted to sell limited items, including groceries, pet care supplies, household cleaning, health care supplies, school supplies, and household safety supplies
Stores that sell liquor (beer, wine and spirits)
Outdoor garden centres and plant nurseries
Indoor greenhouses.
Outdoor markets are permitted if:
they primarily sell food
products are provided to patrons in a manner that the allows the patron to remain in an outdoor area at all times or by curbside pick-up and delivery, and
capacity does not exceed 25%
By appointment only, in store shopping is permitted subject to a limit of 25% capacity in:
Safety supply stores
Businesses that primarily sell, rent or repair assistive, mobility or medical devices, aids or supplies
Optical stores selling prescription glasses
Telecommunications provider retail stores
Individuals can only enter shopping malls to access business allowed to be open under the provincial regulation, including pharmacies or stores that primarily sell food subject to capacity limits, or for a scheduled pickup appointment at a single designated pickup area.
Stores permitted to open must have signs posted requiring patrons to self screen. If you do not pass the self screen, you should not enter.
With very limited exceptions for people with medical conditions or very young children, all people in stores must wear a mask or face covering.
Restaurants
Take out, drive through and delivery are permitted, including alcohol.
Indoor and outdoor dining are not permitted.
Personal Care Services
Personal care services such as hair salons, barber shops, nail salons, tanning studios, tattoo parlours and other cosmetic services are not permitted to operate.
Health care appointments with regulated health professionals for services like physiotherapy and massage therapy are permitted.
Recreation
Most outdoor recreation amenities are open, subject to conditions including that physical distance of two metres must be maintained at all times. Team sports, games and practices that are likely to result in people coming within two metres of one another are not permitted in or on amenities. The use of masks or face coverings outdoors is strongly recommended when using amenities that remain open or in situations where physical distancing is difficult. Masks must be worn while using washroom facilities and while waiting in lines.

Benches in parks or recreational areas
Community and allotment gardens
Picnic tables and shelters
Golf courses
Disk golf courses
Sports courts and fields (i.e. basketball and tennis courts, soccer fields, baseball diamonds, lawn bowling greens)
BMX and skate parks
Outdoor fitness equipment
Dry pads
Outdoor fitness classes, training and team sports are not permitted.
Indoor sports and recreational fitness facilities are closed, with limited exceptions (i.e. use by professional and high-performing athletes, access to physical therapy for individuals with a disability as defined by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act).
Libraries
Libraries are open but use is limited to contactless pick-up. Books and other circulating materials must be reserved over the phone or online for pick up.
Pet care
Vet services are permitted.
Pet services such as pet sitting services, pet walking services, pet grooming and pet training services are permitted.
Household services
Domestic and cleaning and maintenance services that support children, seniors or vulnerable persons are permitted.
